The Peaceful Unification Advisory Council (PUAC) Seattle Chapter (Chairperson Gyu-ho Hwang) has officially announced the "2026 Youth Unification Golden Bell," a premier quiz competition designed to inspire the next generation of Korean-American leaders.

The event will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Bellevue City Hall Council Chamber.

This year¡¯s competition is more than just a quiz; it is a cultural and educational festival. Recognizing the diverse linguistic backgrounds of the local community, all sessions will be conducted entirely in English, ensuring that 2nd and 3rd generation students can participate comfortably and confidently.

The prizes and benefits for participants are unprecedented:

  • Grand Rewards: The Grand Prize winner will receive a $500 cash prize plus $1,000 in airfare support to compete in the global finals in South Korea. The Gold Prize winner will receive $300 plus $500 for airfare.

  • Academic Support: Every participant will receive a 15-hour Community Service Certificate issued by PUAC Seattle, a valuable addition to college applications.

  • Easy Preparation: To make the competition accessible, 80% of the questions will be drawn from a pre-distributed 100-question Study Guide.

"We hope this event serves as a stepping stone for our youth to establish a healthy perspective on the unification of the Korean Peninsula while preparing for their future as global leaders," said Chairperson Gyu-ho Hwang. "We have prepared generous rewards and certificates to support our students¡¯ academic journeys."

The competition is open to students in 6th through 12th grades. The registration deadline is Friday, April 10, 2026. As an added bonus, the first 50 registered students will receive exclusive gift cards. Interested students can sign up via the QR code on the official poster or through the online link (https://forms.gle/GQTC5CJ9a1oEoPTW7).
